For the last few months the world has been in a state of disarray. With the country and states enacting quarantines and social distance guidelines, sports as we know them have come to almost a complete halt. Fortunately for those in water sports, it is not impossible to continue to participate while adhering to the new normal.
With that, the NCWSA challenged it's colleges and universities to put together some videos to show just how they have been keeping their ski spirit up through these unprecedented times. Through the month of May, nine teams showed the world how they "social distanSKI" and left it in the hands of the voters to determine who did it best. After much anticipation, the results are in and first place goes to... Texas A&M University!
The race was a close with the University of Madison- Wisconsin in second, and the University of San Diego in third. COMPETE would like to thank all the teams that participated, and a congratulations to those that ended up on top! To view the rest of the video submissions, check them out on the NCWSA YouTube Channel.
Though in person competition will be returning soon, COMPETE is working tirelessly to bring the ski community the best platform to compete virtually, anywhere, anytime. To learn more about our app and when it will be ready in the app store, please be sure to follow us on social media!
